Day schools in London

Why a London day school

London has an exceptional concentration of independent day schools — many among the strongest in the country. Children live at home and benefit from the same academic standards, small classes and rich extracurricular life as at boarding schools.

How entry works

• Main entry points are at 4+, 7+, 11+, 13+ and 16+, with registration often one to two years ahead
• Assessments typically include English, maths and reasoning tests, an interview and a reference from the current school
• Places at the most sought-after schools are very competitive, so timing and preparation matter
• For families relocating mid-year, we look for schools with in-year places

How we help

We shortlist schools that suit your child's personality and your family's logistics, plan registration and assessment deadlines, and arrange targeted preparation with our tutors when needed.
