Teaching happens in English, French, German or Italian, depending on the programme. Graduates go on to universities in those countries and to international universities worldwide.

Many schools accept beginners in the language of instruction and offer intensive language support.

Life at school

• Careful attention to health: balanced meals, sometimes five a day
• Large campuses in beautiful settings, usually in the mountains or by a lake — some lessons take place outdoors
• Hiking, trips around Switzerland and to neighbouring Austria, Germany, France and Italy
• Skiing is part of the school programme, along with skating, mountain biking, swimming, sailing, football and volleyball

Programmes

Schools offer the IB, British A-levels and GCSE/IGCSE, the American High School Diploma and AP, as well as the Swiss Maturité, French Baccalauréat and German Abitur.
